I finally got round to filming an IMM video with all the books I got over the holidays! There are quite a few, but after some heavy editing, I managed to cut the video down quite a bit, so you won't have to listen to me ramble on for too long!

This one I got from my boyfriend as a present (which was for no particular reason)! I have read two of Rosamunde Pilcher's other books (The Shell Seekers and September) and I enjoyed both of them.

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
This one is actually a non-fiction book (which I don't read very many of), but I decided to buy it because it is about biology. It's about Henrietta Lacks (or HeLa as most scientist know her), whose cells have been instrumental in viral and cancer research, as well as in developing the polio vaccine and drugs to treat leukaemia, influenza, hemophilia, herpes and Parkinson's disease. 
I hope I get round to it soon, as I tend to 'overlook' non-fiction books.

This week was rather quiet. I only got two books, which were actually requests on BookMooch! One of them was actually sent to me on Monday and it was here on Wednesday! Seems like the Greek Postal Service can work well when it wants to!

I just found out about this one because of the film (based on the book) that came out here last week and I rather liked the idea of reading a good proper chick-lit book! Hope it's good!

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
I had actually avoided getting this one when I saw it in my local bookshop a few months ago for some reason. But since then, I have heard so many great things about this series, that I decided to give it a try!

I got DIVERGENT!!!!! It's all shiny and nice and new (and also the very first book by a debut author I will ever read in the year the book was actually published). I have heard so many great things about this book that I am rather looking forward to reading it! Though it won't be straight away... I might wait a week or so.

Anyway, I'd been meaning to get Wolf Hall for myself (but I could only find it in Greek) and I really wanted to try reading a book by Orhan Pamuk. Everyone seems to read his books over here in Greece... We shall see!

I got this one from Bookmooch.com. Someone in Greece was offering it, which means -1 point, so I just went for it! (Plus, it got here really quick!)

Fallen by Lauren Kate
I won this one from Calum over at The Secret Writer. I already had the book, but this one is a signed copy and I don't have many of them, so I really wanted another one to keep! I had been warned that parcels from America take quite a bit of time to reach Europe, but I thought it arrived very quickly!

This week I did not get any books in the post, nor did I buy any at the bookshop! (I really must go there this week... They must be missing me...). However, I decided to make an Amazon.com account, so as to take advantage of a wonderful offer.

There is a 'contest' going on, where certain bloggers participated in an event hosted by Aprilynne Pike, where she offered them unique links to her first book in the Wings trilogy, Wings, so that the readers of the blogs could download the e-book for free and read-along.
I downloaded my copy of Wings from Alison at Alison Can Read.

While browsing through Amazon, I stumbled upon two other books that could be downloaded for free. The first one I have heard quite a lot about, so decided to download it and see for myself what it's about, and the second one I had heard nothing of, but I read the blurb and liked the sound of it, so I downloaded it.

I think the cover of The Golden Acorn is gorgeous! It probably looks a little too much like a children's book, but it's really pretty...

I know this is a little late, but there was some sort-of problem with the internet yesterday and it just would not connect. Very frustrating. I even had to check the router settings! Anyway, it just came back - just like that - sometime this afternoon.

Obviously, as I am doing this IMM post, some of the books I have been waiting for have FINALLY arrived!!
So...

ta-dah!!

Finally, after exactly a month since I ordered them, I got a phone call from my local bookshop, saying that my books had arrived!!!

So, from there I got

It is quite fortunate that I did not post my IMM yesterday, as I got a very pleasant surprise when I opened my front door! Sitting there were two (Yes, TWO!!) parcels pour moi!!!

One of them (from the Book Depository) contained Fire Study by Maria V. Snyder.

The other contained Rockoholic by C.J. Skuse, which I won from a giveaway, hosted by Sammee from I Want To Read That! I was so glad to see the book finally arrived, as I was beginning to worry that it got lost on the post. (Yes, it has happened before, which is why I was worried)

I have to admit that it makes me so happy when I see parcels which are addressed to me! Most of them are addressed to my Mum (meh...).

--- Just to add something here (irrelevant to IMM): I started reading The Hunger Games yesterday and I also finished it yesterday! I just want to say, Wow! I could not put it down! Thanks to all those great bloggers out there who convinced me to read it! I promise I will get the review up soon! ---

I did not get any books last week (hence the absence of an IMM post), but this week one of my books arrived (finally!!!) and, as I had to go to the bookshop to get it, I ended up buying another one, as well.

So, obviously, I got the first book in The Hunger Games trilogy!! At last, I can start reading it! Let's see if it really is as good as it is said to be.
While I was getting that book, I looked around the bookshop and my eye caught this relatively big book that said ''The Complete Illustrated Works of The Brothers Grimm''. I turned the book over and the price was 7.90 euros!!!! (or 11.20 USD or 6.90 GBP). That is a bargain for Greece! Honestly! I was quite excited, because I have only heard of a few of the tales and they're over 200 in that book! I am looking forward to reading them!

This week, I got another book, which I won from a giveaway! The giveaway was hosted by Tara of Fiction Folio and it was part of Savita Kalhan's blog tour, to promote her book 'The Long Weekend'.

This is also the FIRST book I have ever got that has been signed by an author!!! I was sooooo happy when I saw it!! I even took a photo of it! Thank you, Ms Kalhan!

Last, but not least, I got a surprise when I opened the door and saw a 'parcel/letter' addressed to me. I was only expecting the book, so when another package showed up, I was very surprised! It turned out to be from Becky of The Bookette and it was a whole envelope full of postcards, bookmarks and posters! I was quite happy about that! Especially my Harry Potter bookmarks! Now, I'm only missing the Half-Blood Prince one, but never mind!

This is all from me this week! I have ordered some other books, so hopefully they will arrive in time for another IMM next week!!
